LCD Bezel

I am after a suitable bezel,

for a Powertip 1602-L

display dims = 99x24 mm

can anyone recommend suitable supplier (preferably in UK )

(I have 'googled' extensively !)

Interesting. Since the 1602 LCD displays are as common as dirt (I have a half-dozen in my parts bin), you'd expect the marketplace to be awash with bezels. Here's is one that is being marketed for the 1602 displays, but the dimensions do not match.

Perhaps contact them and ask them for advice.

My search technique is Google Images (faster scanning of the results) with terms:
"bezel" LCD 1602
The quotes forcing bezel to appear near the images.

I did in fact buy some of those from hobbytronics, cut and stitched x3 together around cutout in box,
was not pleased with result,

I did email Powertip, the manufacturer, no response,

will have to improvise some other way, as you say, is rather nuts, seeing how well used these displays are

One forum points to an on-line 'Make' service (laser cutting, 3D printing).

The datasheet for one of my 1602 LCD displays says that it's 80.0 mm wide overall in the widest dimension.

Given how common these 1602 LCD displays are, perhaps it might be easier to switch LCD supplier to find one that matches an available bezel. Or maybe not.
