Hi All,
I'm quite interested in FEA for a while now. I have been using simple models to test using Simscale platforms and CATIA but it can be challenging to understand the basics of FEA and its principles. Does anyone know where I can start? I would really appreciate your advice and recommendation on textbooks or online materials that I can start getting into.

Best Regards,
Jerome

I would start from the book titled "Building Better Products with Finite Element Analysis". That's the best one focusing on practical aspects. Then, to learn more about theory, try these books:
- "Introduction to the Finite Element Method" Ottosen
- "A First Course in Finite Elements" Fish, Belytschko
- "The Finite Element Method for Engineers" Huebner
- "A First Course in the Finite Element Method" Logan
- "Introduction to Finite Elements in Engineering" Chandrupatla, Belegundu
- "Fundamentals of Finite Element Analysis" Hutton
- "Finite Element Procedures" Bathe

And check this thread:

Hi!
Thanks for your advice! And the link too. Lots of recommendations from that thread.
Really appreciate it!

Best Regards,
Jerome

I'd also look into MIT's "opencourseware" site
