Does any one know the typical lead time to order a large power transformer such as 1000 MVA, 500 kV?

At that size/voltage I'd say be prepared for something closer to 150 weeks. It's horrible out there.

When one this sentence into the German to translate wanted, would one the fact exploit, that the word order and the punctuation already with the German conventions agree.

During lean periods, manufacturers can deliver such large transformers for testing within 10-12 months. But today, most suppliers are overbooked, and as DPC mentioned, you will require 1.5-2 years as lead time.

Hello cuky2000,
it really depends mainly on your negotiating power with respect to the transformer manufacturer. The minimum technical time could be on the 9 to 15 months, depending on the availability of bushings, tap changers etc...
In European and North American markets, as mentioned in previous posts, in the absence of bargaining power you can expect even times of 24 to 30 months. Turning to Asian markets you may have significantly shorter lead times, to which you will have to add the higher transportation times.

Just got a quote two months ago for a 25MVA. A little over a million and a quarter, with a 130 week lead time.
Our last one was ~$650k+, but that was pre covid

I'm afraid for this size you have to expect at least twice the time estimated by DPC.
