Hi,

Can anyone help with the specifications around LeFranc Testing, such as a standard? i have been scoped to perform a series of these tests down boreholes.

Can i assume its a standard Falling or Constant head test and i can use ASTM or other related standards??

Any help would be much appreciated.

There is a french norm for Lefranc test : NF P 94-132 october 2000. You must get it (not free !) from AFNOR, they have a website where you can get them

Thanks Bigharvey,

That really helps. For some reason my searches were not bringing anything like this up.

You got back to me just in time - we are drilling on monday.

Cheers

A good reference, although it's not a norm and it's in french, is the book by Maurice Cassan, "Les essais d'eau dans la reconnaissance des sols" , Eyrolles,1980. In this book you will find everything about carrying out and interpreting Lefranc and Nasberg tests.
