Hi there :) I used to use AutoCAD Light - must have been the 97 or 98 version (I can't remember now - I ended up changing jobs after my company had upgraded). The one thing I do remember is there being a library box that you could use - it would show all your blocks in a table and give the names - you could then drag a picture from the table and it would put it into the AutoCAD drawing. Does anyone know if this is available in AutoCAD 14 and 2000? It would be really useful but I'm not sure how to get it to work. Thanks :)

You are probably talking about a Tile menu (the newer name is Image Tile). This is not something that comes prepackaged from Autocad (though other third party software developers make extensive use of them). If you decide to set one up yourself you will have to write a menu, create slides and a slide library and of course have a selection of symbols to use. The Autocad help files have an extensive section on how to do this under Custom Menus.

I think what you are describing is AutoCAD Design Centre. It list all entities of the drawing and enables you to do what you describe i.e. inserting blocks from one drawing to another. This feature is in AutoCAD 2000 and AutoCAD LT 2000.
