Morning

I have some work that is required to be stamped by an engineer licensed by the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA). As a non-resident, I need to apply as a licensee.

The APEGA website ( application portion appears to be down (even the Contact Us page). For my Canadian (Albertan?) colleagues:
-Am I going in the correct direction?
Is the website down frequently?
Can you point me to a better source for professional licensure in Alberta?

Thank you
Jeff

That's the right website, couldn't tell you how often it's down. Maybe try calling, they should be in the phone book or yellow pages online. FYI, you need four years of experience and one year of Canadian experience for a P.Eng license (doesn't matter if you reside in Alberta or not, plenty of licensees do not live there).

If you're practicing as a company, you will also need to license your company with a Permit To Practice. I hope that you're not on a short timeline, because things get backed up over the summer.

Jeff - contact me. We might be able to assist - we work in very similar fields.
