Hello everybody.

I am trying to analyze lifting eyes welded to a motor. I have analyzed with 2 different methods.
In the first method, I used springs as slings with the setting of behavior - Rigide.
In the second method, I used 3 remote points linked with each other as slings with the setting of behavior - Rigide. Others settings are similar.
And finally, I have gotten different results. For the first case, it is 336 MPa. And for the second is 170 MPa.
Could anyone tell me what approach is preferable for simulating slings using Ansys?

None of the results above the hole will be meaningfull with a model like this. In general, FEM is only used for results below the lifting eye hole.

Hand calculations in accordance with a lifting code are typically done to check the material above the hole (tear-out, bearing stress).

If you need really accurate results, model part of the lifting system connected to the lifting eyes as well and apply contact between the surfaces. Of course, this will increase the computational cost of the analysis.
