Hello every one,
I am designing a one floor industrial building (modularized in shop then transported to the site, lift and erect at site)located in a cold place so the building needs to be well insulated. we have two options for lifting the module on site:
1)on the top of the column;
2)or on the floor beam.
if the lugs on the top of the building, is the water leaking a problem for long run? can I count on cover plus caulk?
if the lugs on the floor beam, then we will have to remove the lugs after lifting because there are platforms all around the building, the platform is modularized as well. The building column and platform column share the same supporting pile between them. see the picture attached.
So what are the best option for the design? your thoughts are highly appreciated.
