Thank you in Advance.

Does anyone know if there is a limit to how many configurations an ASSEMBLY can have?

I have been getting the following (attached) message lately;

First, I was told make sure everything is checked in, OK, all is checked in;

Its a fairly large file, and I have 39 configurations in it (OK, that is a lot).

I can open the file, I can see the configurations, BUT I can not change to any of configurations at all, or even do anything with this assembly.

I would think if it is CORRUPT I wouldn't even be able to open it. I have a NEW BOXX system, I7-7700K cpu @4.20Ghx 64. GB Ram, 64 bit OS

FRUSTRATED...

designmr,

There must be a limit somewhere. Definitely, it was way more than 39. I think your file is corrupt.

UGH, I hope not. Its strange that I can check it in, I can open it...And I was even able to do a SAVE AS (though, not sure if a corrupt file can still be SAVED AS)

Thanks, yes I would thing way over 39 is not a problem.

Thank you Drawoh..

OK, I think I FINALLY found the ISSUE. ONE assembly within this MONSTER is BAD. I created a SAVE AS copy. In this copy I delete the LAST item I added, saved, closed up Solidworks, and restarted...WHAM it opens.

I WISH Solidworks would let you know it there is a CORRUPT item within it.....

WHAT a LONG pain...

FYI - I have 79 in one of my part files (Hex head bolt) and it works fine. DT is a little slow at loading but loads into the assemblies without an issue.
