Line operator / plane functions

Experts,
I am a big fan of using history based features even while doing section work. The problem that I am having is when using the line operator, I have to continuously pick and re-pick the plane every time I enter the operator. I am working on the same plane and have set the WCS to the proper workplane. Any ideas on how to keep the plane the same for the operator without re picking every time. I have not had any luck on the automatic plane or the locked plane features.

Have you tried creating your 'lines' as part of a Sketch?
