Can anyone advise if linear and cylindrical coordinate systems can be used together?

If so, what is the code to use?

I've tried:

JOINT COORDINATES
1 x y z
2 ...

JOINT COORDINATES CYLINDRICAL
4 "radius1" "theta" "z1" "jts" "radius2" "angle" "z2"
5 ...

However the linear coordinates are ignored when compiled, and I am left with only the circular members.

TIA,

What version are you using? I tried your little sample and it seems to be working fine on STAAD.Pro 2001 (I didn't try on the latest).

Don't have access to advanced software... currently using STAAD III Rel. 23
