I am looking for high precision linear bearings with low radial runout and clearance. Accuracy in the axial direction is less important for my application.
I am still inexperienced in this range but I could imagine that a linear bearing, eg. ball bearing, would work in the same way as a regular rotating bearing just with the balls rotating in the perpendicular direction, assuming a cylindric center rail. Therefore I hope that a similar radial Accuracy as in rotating bearings can be achieved.
According to specifications a radial runout or eccentricity of less than 3 microns (0.003 mm) is available in high precision ball bearings, but I wonder whether this is also possible in linear bearings, since I coudn't find any clearance specs referring to linear bearing systems.
I'll be gratefull for any help.
