I am trying to find the middle step in linearising the Avrami equation so that it can be plotted as a straight line and the parameters n and k determined.
I know that 1-X = exp(-kt^n)
where X is degree of crystallinity, k is the rate constant and n is the Avrami exponent.
I also know that you can plot ln(-ln(1-X)) against ln(t) to get a straight line in which the gradient is n and the y intercept is ln(k), but I don't understand how to get from the original equation to one of the form:
ln(-ln(1-X))=n.ln(t)-ln(k).
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I need to understand the middle step in order to apply the rules to another equation, but have found textbooks fairly useless.
