I used to install Hower Baker’s desalters with Cement Lining at lower part inside of the vessel.

Can I find any code or standard mentioned such Lining Practice? Is it recommended for corrosive and abrasive condition by any code?

Thanks a lot.

Best Regards,

I've seen a variety of different linings in the lower section of desalters but I don't think you'll find any standard that covers this. Most popular is applying a generous corrosion allowance (1/4" or more) without lining.
