Guys,
Looking through the online documentation for link types, i.e. PASTE-SPECIAL then EDIT-LINKS there is various types which can be viewed.
What produces each type, i.e. CCP, import & context.
CCP is ok copy a PartBody and PASTE-SPECIAL as link.
import?
context?

Assuming you have mis-typed looked at the help documentation for contextual design and found nothing which explains how to produce link types context and import.
Am i missing something basic here??

These pages cover it (you will need to change the path to match your documentation.

file:///C:/Program%20Files/Dassault%20Systemes/B18doc/English/online/asmug_C2/asmuggs08.htm

file:///C:/Program%20Files/Dassault%20Systemes/B18doc/English/online/asmug_C2/asmugat0300.htm

Tools-->options-->infrastructure-->part infrastructure-->general tab-->keep link option

be careful with this as it takes knowledge, care and a plan to do fully associative contextural design well - it is easy to make a complicated mess

PeterGuy,
Thanks for the information.
I see where you are coming from now . . but it still does not inform the end user of the link types.
Will keep looking. thanks for now.
Scott.

As far as I am aware there is no big list of link types. the best thing to do is to make some and see what you get as link type
