Lisp for Automatic .plt (plot to file)

We are using AutoCAD R14 in our office, and we generally send a large number of drawing files electronically using the .plt format. Sometimes the are hundreds of drawings. I have looked the batch plot options and noticed there was no ploy to file option. Is there a way through lisp programming to plot to file all drawings within a directory. This would save an incredible amount of time. All help would be appreciated.

There do exist batch plot lisp routines. If I remember, the Seattle Hermitage offered one. You should be able to easily find one if you look around. ACAD 14 also comes with a batch plot utility.

BTW, we overcame this by always creating PLT files when we're done making a print. PLT files can be batch printed by creating a batch file with the command
COPY /B FILE1.PLT LPT1

If you're on a network, you will need to map the printer to your LPT port
NET USE LPT1 //SERVERNAME/PRINTERNAME

These days, we use Adobe Distiller to convert our PLTs to PDFs. Just rename the PLTs to PS or associate PLTs to Distiller and when you double click on them, they're automatically converted into PDFs. This makes batch plotting a cinch.
