little help howto

In our recent cad solution we could split with multiple domains. How can I do this with nx6. I have attached a part with a solid I like to split into two pieces at the two yellow faces.

I did not look at your part, but I assume what you want is:
Insert > Trim > Split Body

When you cannot find a command be sure to use:
Help > Command Finder
It is also on your "Standard" toolbar

I know trim and split - but the split elements are not sewn together - two partions...

If this is something which you plan to do a lot, may I suggest that you consider investing in the Mold Wizard Module since this is the sort of thing which has been automated using its tools.

That being said, I've manually created your 'Core & Cavity' using conventional modeling techniques in the attached part file.

To get a better view of the final model, go to the AssemblY Navigator, expand the 'Sections' items and then double-click on the item named 'Section 1'.

If you do a 'Feature Replay' you can see how the model was created.

Now if you had Mold Wizard, the system would perform these same basic operations only they would have been more automated than doing it manually like I did.

can you also offer an example done with the Moldwizard,
we have a license but I was told to do it without MW.
I have attached the complete assembly for the layout.

I've never used Mold Wizard. I'm a machine designer by educations and professional experience and besides, there are people in our organization who actually are experienced mold tooling designers and so I let them handle Mold Wizard issues (not sure if any of them follow this forum, but there are many customers who use it that do so perhaps one of them might comment).

I looking for best practice, for plugs with many cores.
with, or without MW.
