Hi everyone,
I am using sap2000 to design a two span precast girder bridge. I didn’t use csi. I relied on defining the superstructure using the section designer in sap2000 and assign it to the frame. I connected my superstructure to a dropped bent cap with a rigid link. My bent cap is supported on two columns. I defined the lanes, vehicle classes etc. when I checked my moment results, I noticed that my bent cap only shows demand at midspan. The demand on the overhang is zero. It seems to me that this is incorrect. Is it possible that I should not have used a rigid link to connect the bent cap to the superstructure?
