load-bearing capacities of steel. 1

i am in tool & die and am starting to fabricate misc. things out of square tubing and other types of structural steel. i need a chart or book with load bearing capacities. i want to be sure i build things that can hold or lift the weight i build it to hold.

The American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) "Manual of Steel Construction - Ninth Edition" has load tables for tubes and other shapes.
You could probably order the Ninth Ed. from their website - (if i remember correctly)
 
Except that the contraptions are nearly always oversized in strength you better engage the help of structural and mechanical designers for that, there's no simple substitute for thorough knowledge of the subject.
