I have a 4- story cold-formed load bearing stud wall. The first floor uses 6-inch, 12-gauge track and studs. The contractor cannot get the top of the stud to sit directly against the flat part of the track. The inside curve of the track prevents it from sitting all the way into the track. There is about an 1/8-inch gap between the top of the stud and the track. Is that ok?
