Load Bearing Wall Building

Hellow engineers, i'm trying to model a two-story load bearing building using CSI ETABS, Solid slabs rests directly on masonary walls. To my understanding that beams are are rigidly connected to the slab. The masonary wall however should not be connected rigidly to the beam, as they are not able to transfer moment effectively. Is this right? and how do i model this. (The slab beams rests directly on the wall but not rigidly connected to it)

Normally, while modelling, I do not model "Load bearing walls". It's better to apply wall load as linear load on beams and as far as partition walls are concerned, distribute their load on the floor and design your slab against this load.

Beams do not carry any wall loads, the entitre building is carried on masonary walls so any the upper floor wall is supported on the lower floor wall

Do you have columns? If so, show a plan. If no, the walls should be designed as propped cantilever, IMO.
