load calculation

I am doing the load calculation for the whole plant. I am wondering how I should consider the transformer load with regard to the load list. Should I consider the actual load consumption or just the full load of transformer?

i am still new in North America. what is common practice here ?

What is the purpose of the load calculation? If you are designing the electrical system, it is common to size for the maximum transformer rating, unless it is grossly oversized for some reason.

The NEC has a fairly elaborate set of load calculation guidelines that form a "legal" requirement for feeder sizing.

It's probably smart to include the load rating of the transformer, if you're sizing feeders. If the transformer includes fans that are expected to operate, include that too.

If you're looking for power consumption (ie energy usage for utility estimating), you should consider the real load, suitably diversified.
