Dear colleagues,
I'm developing an abaqus model for a metal - composite single lapped bolted joint.
I'm simulating a simple shear test of this joint and I need to calculate the load transfer through the bolt and through the interacting surfaces.
Which is the abaqus function suitable for the prediction of the load transferred between different interacting surfaces?

Any suggestion will be highly appreciated!!!

If the bolt has the correct preload then load is transferred through friction.

Thank you for your answer,
I would like to calculate the load transferred through the bolt and through the surfaces but I don't know how to do it.
The bolt has the correct preload and I expect to see that for very low applied loads there is a load transfer through the two surfaces (interacting through friction) and then, as soon as the load increases, all the load is transferred through the bolt. Do you have any suggestion?

Perhaps the joint has slipped, or perhaps your bolt dimensions match that of the hole and contact is made through the bolt rather than the friction surfaces.
