In a full pipe model I belive I can apply tension or compression on pipe ends by using Distributing coupling or pressure at pipe end.
However, If I want to model half pipe by taking symmary along the pipe. How would I do the distributing coupling at pipe ends?
I tried to do it as I would with full model with half the loading, I found that there is a stress concentration near the symmary line which is not expected. How should I attrach the coupling so that I get the same results as I would in full model?

If a pure constant pressure is apply to pipe end. the force and geometry is symmetry around the pipe in any direction.

However when a coupling to pipe end is used. In full model it act like a constant pressure to the pipe end as planned. but the coupling shows stress concentration at the symmetry plane when I use half model.
