We r using GEAR pumps for viscous+foaming material... e.g- cocobetaine or surface active agents.

Which pump best in performance for above mentioned criteria??

And Y ?

we r facing leakage problem with gear pump .

I understand you have some pumping problems and you are not sure why are you using the GEAR pumps!, but I fail understand your acronyms and erratic letters in your engineering grammar. Can please translate in English your post?

Did you miss something ?

MilanMhatre,

Kindly reformulate and explain clearly your question.
If we cannot answer, at least we can understand what the point is.

Talk to your CAPB supplier about your application and see what pumps they use. Request their technical support engineer or an engineer in their plant. Don't let the sales people give you their blah-blah-blah-blah.

Where is gear pump leakage? Describe. Packing? Seal?

How much flow do you need? Pressure drop?

What is the viscosity?

Good luck,
Latexman

We 'r' using...?? And 'Y'..?? I fail to understand this 'engineering' language. I know, my English is limited and all I could do was to research in my technical dictionary for 'r' and 'Y', but all I got was a reference to street slang. Is it really some kind of street slang you are using on the engineering forum?
Best regards,

Looks like SMS language/ English hybrid.

The worst of Y-Gen language perhaps from the disjoint functionality of a mobile device.
r-are
U- You
Y- why

i apologies for that,

we are dealing with 4000cps to 15000cps viscous fluid( surface active agent), using GEAR pumps.

but facing problem at rubber seal leakage.

IS LOBE pumps better for above mentioned fluids??

Since you do NOT have gear wear problem, I think a lobe pump is not better. Sounds like you need to improve the seal. Is there a better choice of the rubber? Can you change to packing? Mechanical seal?

Good luck,
Latexman

It all depends... I can give you hand even being a non native english speaker...

Please provide:

fluid temperature
required massflow
required discharge pressure

and VERY IMPORTANT

Available NPSH (net positive suction head) of your system.
