Hello,
I am trying to find information and design guidance for lobe rotor with a step top/tip. Google is not my friend on this subject.
If I understand correctly a step can be added to any lobe rotor profile, correct? The step should match with the waist of the casing as indicated by the below picture?
The left profile is with a step. The right one is a more traditional lobe design.
As far as I am aware, most of the blower manufacturers use a step that is much narrower than the above photo, something like this:
Would be happy to get any literature or guidance on this step part of the design!
