Is there a way to define the location of text (added via "Note" button)? I would prefer to position the texts exactly (using dimensions?)- not by eyeballing.

These are text items found in your run-of-the-mill title blocks:

DRAWN:
CHECKED:
DATE:
Company Address
REV.

...etc.

Most of them are one-line strings...

Air cooled, belt fed, gas operated machine gun firing from the open-bolt position

This can be done with a macro, by the way the dimensions used in the macro are in meters (not MM) and are based from the bottom left corner of the drawing.

I don´t think you can, because there's nothing on a note to attach a dimension. But you can use "Align Annotations" tool to have some control over your work.

Regards

You can place a note at a location based on the origin of the drawing. To find the location of note, record a macro while editing a note, end the macro. Edit the macro and you will see the x,y and z coords for the notes position.
