lock freedom constraint axis 3

I'm in Nx7.5 using position constraints in assembly for screws. Is there a way to lock the rotating freedom of the screws by default, attribute or... like in ...

Once in place, you could add a 'Bond' constraint between the Screw and the part it's holding in place. But that being said, why are you concerned about the freedom to rotate if it's just a Screw?

I have a similar desire to fully constrain all my components in an assembly. In the assembly navigator you can see what is fully constrained and what is not. It not always obvious by looking at the part number whether the component is a cylindrical type part like a fastener or a shaft ect that does not require another constraint. It would be helpfull if I constrainted all those types of components fully so when looking at the assembly navigator I can determine easily what other componets need additional constraints.

As an aside, I have to say that the constraint system in NX can be tedious to work with. It is getting better as I gain more experience but I feel that fundamentally it is not user friendly. It often is trial and error to find a bad constraint. I often delete failed constraints and redo them as it is often faster than troubleshooting.

Interrogating existing constraints is incredibly tedious, it seiously needs looking at.

regarding "troubleshooting constraints"

Are you aware that in the Assembly Navigator, you can expand the dependencies tab (at the bottom of the navigator).
With this tab open, you can see the relationships between everything, including constraints.

Click on a troubled constraint, and the dependencies tab will show you exactly the parts to which it refers.

I find it very helpful.

Also, be sure to have the magnifying glass icon pressed to get the most bang for your buck.
The glass will show you constraints when you are viewing dependencies of a part.

@John,
is a mess using bond or fix constraint on screws,pins,etc... in design process -> rework and cause holes are moving. Ok using component first is the nx7.5 way - works really cool.
Problem with component first I want to control the exact position to the edge (example offset 20mm). Tell me what I have to do ?

Or you can try this.

Pin open the Assembly Navigator with the list of Constraints expanded. Now open the 'Show and Hide Constraints' dialog (it's an icon on the Assemblies toolbar) and with the 'Filter Navigator' option toggled ON, if you use the 'Connected to Components' Visibility option, select a single Component, hit 'Apply' and the list of Constraints in the Assembly Navigator will be filtered to show only the Consrtaints relevant to that Component. With the Visibility option set to 'Between Components' selecting two or more Components before hitting 'Apply' will show you only the Constraints BETWEEN the Components selected.

since nx7.5 we are able to put the screws from the reuse lib into a plate for example without creating the hole first, use the pocket on add - Its only absolute positioning - drag pull it where you want - nice on demos but the engineer has the glass is twice as big . Same problem with the fastener assembly, point type, the positioning sketch is not assotiative on editing. Please, tell me the concept.
