In some 3D files that I create and work on (1-3 meg in size) my autoCAD session locks up and I can only get out by pressing control-alt-delete and closing the application. Does anyone know a fix for this buggy problem?

Can you tell us a little more about the problem? What version of AutoCad? What hardware are you using (processor, RAM, etc.). Does this happen in Windows while you are running other apps?
AutoCad hangs for a number of reasons, but if I had to guess from your previous post, I'd say you may need more memory (RAM, video memory, or both) to handle your 3D files.

AutoCAD Version: Release 14
System: P2-350
System Memory: 128 MB - 100mhz
Video Card: ELSA Gloria Synergy 8 MB

I usually have no other programs open

Can you suggest a Video card for my need? As follows:
AutoCAD R14 and R2000 2D and 3D solids
Rendering program: SIMPLY 3D
I also use MS Publisher 98 for presentation graphics (of renderings), these files can get to be 50 MB in size (I never run this program with AutoCAD at the same time).
Any help would be helpful.
PS: I tried re-installing AutoCAD, but it did not help the lock up problem.
Thanx, Bob
