Let me explain.
I have a designed and modeled a slender shaft which is 16mm diameter and 1300mm long, there are no features on the shaft apart from a keyway near each end and one in the middle.
How do I draw this shaft at a scale of 1:1 on an A3 drawing sheet? In 2D Autocad I just used to draw the short bits of the shaft local to the keyways and break the rest out so it was in three seperate short bits.
Is there an easy way to achieve this using SW-2006 for both plan and elevation views to be linked still, I would still like to be able to place a correct dimension over the full length of the shaft by just picking the two outboard end points.
Thanks
Phil
