Hi everybody
we have faced with a problem that longitudinal weld of some fittings (i.e two elbows or two reducer) are along side of each other.
the design code is B31.3 and it does not have any clause about this matter that it is prohibited or not. on the other side we are in construction and the piping designers do not want to change or modify something.
what NDT we can do and also PWHT is required or not?
*the material is C.S

afarboudi,
Nobody on this forum can give you this answer.
What you must do is pass any concerns up the chain to people who are paid more than you.
Your query must be documented - TQ (Technical Query), RFI (Request for Information) or whatever you call it in your part of the world but it is all about responsibility - you pass the responsibility onto those making the big bucks.
Cheers,
Shane
