Hello,

currently I am working with high pressure hydraulic torque wrench pumps. I am looking for a flow meter with ability to integrate it in hydraulic system which pressure is up to 1000bar. The flow range of oil I need to measure is up to 7l/min. Could you please offer me a list of flow meters for my system? Also the sensor could have analog output either switching contact like PNP or NPN transistor. Thank you for your reply.

Lets say the maximum pressure can be up to 700bar. Any suggestions?

Your hydraulic system probably has a positive displacement pump, With some slipage. Maybe you could just count revolutions to get close to your flowrate, in stead of the meter.

Actually what I need to measure is status of oil flowing: flow or no flow. This indication could let me to stop the cycle in my system, when flow meter senses that oil stopped flowing into cylinder.

mcastle,
I don't know where to get a "flow switch" or what technology it would represent. One thing you can do is put a dP gauge across some flow restriction that can't go all the way shut (a restriction orifice is a good choice). If there is a dP then you have flow. No dP? No flow.

Thanks, I never look at stuff that small. Interesting range of technologies.

That is significantly different from the original question. Normally a pressure switch or valve is used to sense end of stroke on a cylinder. The pressure will rise to relief valve pressure at end of stroke. There are valves made just for this purpose.

I am talking about the switch, which can sense flow/no flow with ability to output electrical signal to my microcontroller.

What flow switches you could recommend for pressures up to 700bar? I can not find it in google.

You may have to directly contact some vendors to find something that goes to pressures that high. Some vendors are http://www.hydracheck.com/ http://www.hydac.com.au/ http://ph.parker.com/us/en/regulators-monitors-sensors-and-flow-control

Here is an off the shelf item that goes to 410 bar.

Another option is an ultrasonic flowmeter. Something like this perhaps:
