I am looking for some electronic injectors that will deliver enough fuel to make 2-3,000 HP or more with a diesel. I have not decided on a power plant yet, but looking at something 700 ci. or bigger. I have an 8v92 detroit, but I know where I can get a C11 Caterpillar that is a little over 700 really cheap and is really suited for this type of injector. Has hole in the block, but easily repairable for my project. It will probably have 3 or 4 turbos and since I am a machinist, I am looking at building my own cylinder head with much better air flow and over head cam w/intercooler and water injection. I want to build a chrome moly chassis for it using the SQLD rockwell rear and then make the cab a little smaller and chop it, similar to the "pissed off Pete" with the 12v92 that I am sure some of you have seen. Would like to race it some at the strip just to see what it will do and cruise on the street, but first I want to build the motor and get it on my buddies dyno.

I have really become fascinated with the new electronic technology that is being used on the diesels today, especially after going to a truck pull and watching a class of Super Semi's! These things have ungodly hp and I am sure they are running over 3000 or so hp as they are at around 1100 cubes. Being that I am involved with computers quite a bit also, I really want to make this completely electronic controlled as far as the fuel system and tune it with a lap top. The problem I may have is trying to find electronic injectors big enough....Perhaps an injector from a larger diesel would get me in the ballpark with the chance of getting even more fuel out of it yet, or maybe, I need to use more than one, but that takes up room in the combustion chamber and would rather use a single injector for each hole if possible.

I am also hoping that there is someone out there that can help lead me in the right direction as to find a fuel management system for this project. Hoping to utilize something that is out there already and modify it to handle what I am trying to do.

If anyone has any ideas or info as to where I may start looking, that would be greatly appreciated....Thank

Hermster, why not put those machining skills to best use and redesign injection integrated within that new head you are building. Within this forum lay skills to achieve a design for a high pressure fuel distributor which capitalizes on thermal transfer and thus higher burn efficiency.

I may upload a topology for your consideration, as I a sure others will follow.

Thanks for the reply Talin9! Finally someone has responded...

I would appreciate it very much if you could upload a topology, as I am really interested in learning more of how to integrate this new technology for this head. If you can steer me in the right direction that would be great. I will look through out this forum for more of what you speak of...Thank You!
