Hello folks,

I'm a mechanical engineering undergrad student and I hope it won't bother you guys if I ask that following question.
I'm doing an assignment over gas turbine in which I have all the thermodynamics states of a Brayton cycle.
I'd like to plot these points on a T-s diagram, but I couldn't find any free software to do so.
Any suggestions?

Thanks!

well, there is a reason why you cannot find "free software".
i would think that with the air table data in text books, NIST website, excel, and other data sources, you can generate the desired chart.

good luck!

Back when I was an undergrad, there was a program available for free to students called Engineering Equation Solver (EES). This program was amazing, and contained vast amounts of refrigerant and fluid properties. It would solve complex systems of equations, and provide numerous charts and graphs for outputs. I would check with your engineering department to see if software like this is available.

it is very easy job. you can do it by Excel. The T-s (Temperature- Entropy)data can be calculated from NIST or other website like There are so much free resource on internet.
