Does anyone know of a lab in Canada or USA that could perform some wear resistance tests on a few copper based alloys ?

Thanks

Is the wear experienced in service due in some part to erosion?
"Results" of a test method using abrasion can be very misleading.
The outfit I worked for made a bunch of material decisions doing that and some of the results were di$appointing.

Tmoose, that's a good point. I think the type of testing desired would more correctly be described as "wear rate" testing, rather than "wear resistance" testing. "Wear resistance" is subjective, while "wear rate" can be quantified.

I saw her work on carbide a few years ago and was impressed.

FP Innovations in Canada does a lot of this but the FP stands for Forest Products so they are limited.

Which ASTM galling tests are you looking for ? I do not have very successful experience with ASTM Galling test. You may want to consider developing your own test for your own application.
