Can any one provide me with tensile and yield strengths for the following materials? 25CR 2MO VA and /or 42CR 2MO VA. They are of foreign designation, perhaps Japan or China. I can't seem to locate the material(s) anywhere. The material in questions is used as a bolting material on a floating head heat exchanger.

They are definitely Italian steel designations, but I don't have the strength properties or US equivalents handy. Perhaps checking in an ASM handbook or contacting an Italian exchanger or vessel manufacturer would get you the strength data you need.

I would refer you to "Stahlschussel" (I am more comfortable with its English translation- Key to steel by DIN- German) It lists most of the worlds known steel standards/ equivalent ASTM/DIN/BS viceversa and chemical and physical properties.
