I am trying to find a bi-stable solenoid valve which is approved for natural gas. For my application, it is important that the valve not consume power unless it is opening/closing. Has anybody come across anything like this?

What kind of pressure and flow, what kind of flow pattern(two way, three way four way)? There's a lot of manufacturer's out there who only make valves for a small range of applications.

I believe that with a bistable design, you will not find a AGA, CGA or equivalent certification. The reason being the failure mode is not set. You probably only need concern yourself with Explosion Proof coils and a manufacturer's fluid compatibility recommendation.

whats ur flow requirement?
ISO size1 solenoid? EB-solenoid? F-solenoid?
with or without auxiliar pilot air?

I realize that I'm responding to your post late, but if you are still looking, we may be able to help.
The main issue here as ghillis stated above certification will be difficult because of the fail safe mode. However if the valve ports are not very large other approaches may provide a solution for your application.
