I'm looking for small and reliable engineering firms (around 200-300 people) in the T&D business. They should be able to cover the complete design of a line or substation up to 115kV, construction is not neccesary, with in-house resources. Preferably based in the north-east of the USA.
Thanks in advance for your help.

MS Engineering now owned by Compton and Greaves is one that comes to mind. They're in NY state.

Pike Energy is good. Also, I know that V&S Schuler Engineering does a lot of steel fabricating and substation packaging in the north east, but they don't do the design.

Look up They have an office in CT and they are only a few miles from me, incidentally. You can also visit the website in my signature, who can handle substations up to 115 kV. I am not sure 200-300 people is small for an engineering firm in Northeast and why the number is important. All you need is a few good engineers, who can put a team together and deliver.

I work for CG Power Solutions formerly MSE Power / MS Engineering. Our main office is in Albany NY, we have offices in RI, CT, PA, MD, FL & AZ. We have been doing Substation EPC work for over 15 years we have approximately 200 employees and I'm certain we can meet your needs.

Check the following companies:
Worley Parson
Altran
URS
Burns & Roe

Why do you think you need 200-300 prople?
Many, much smaller firms can do a great job in this area.

What is the significance of number of employee?

a) Cost
b) Quality
c) Deliverables reliability
d) Credibility
e) Convenience.
f) Single responsibility
g) Availability for accellerated schedule.
f) Other inhouse services & specialties.

Northslope1, which smaller firms?
Size of the company matters because we may end up stablishing a partnership.

If 300 people is considered small then I definitely work for a firm that can be considered milli.

cuky2000, was there supposed to be a question mark after your points?

Also, I wouldn't call Worley Parsons a small company.
