Hello everybody.
I'm trying to find a worm gear with that specifications:
- 300:1 reduction
- input rpm 2500
- output rpm 10
- output torque of 400 Nm
- No more than 15 lb

For having an idea for what i want that ->I will use it with a stepper motor for the controll of a micro wind tubine.

I'm getting crazy to find something which fits me but I don't find anything.
I saw something at but I think the dimmensions are tooo big

Thanx for ur help!!

You can probably do it within your weight limit by using a small worm gear box driving a long timing belt. For the timing belt's driven pulley, you can use a large aluminum disc, with ~four groups of steel teeth inserted.

The design will be governed by how long/strong a timing belt you can actually get. Be careful about designing in stuff that's in a catalog, but not in stock.

Something is wrong here. A 300:1 Ratio with 2500 input rpm would give you an output RPM of 8.3. Do you need 300:1 ratio or 250:1 Ratio?

Hi tnx for ur reply!

I don't need exactly an output velocity of 10 rpm because that is not very important for my project. some rpm up or down is ok. But what I need is the 400 Nm at the output.

I'd like to find something whith the house included. Without the weight limitation would it be possible to find something more easyly??
