I'm sorry to bother you guys but I saw a post a while back about this without a clear answer...

I am looking for a reusable sticky adhesive that'll stick to plastics, metal, glass etc. I unfortunately am not that into chemistry and don't really know what to do to find this material. I can't seem to find a company that advertises online that it makes the stuff, or find anyone who has a formula for it. From what I understand it's simply soft TPU or TPR that hasn't hardened enough, is that right?

I'm looking for pads on the line of Clingo, UDS Capta etc I have the UDS version, it's ok but it's thick and isn't that tacky at first, it takes a while to become better.

So if anyone here...
Makes it, I am interested in buying some
Know where I can get it made, let me know
Knows how to make it, let me know
Knows where to buy it, share please
etc

Thanks for reading this post, your help is greatly appreciated.

i know that stuff, they sell it at crafts stores, it's not the same thing really. I'll share some photos of what I'm talking about...

Need something that I can permanently attach to my product...

I believe it's plastisized polyurethane, something that hasn't hardened, they are all gel like.

Thanks Demon3

I didn't know they were the market leader per say. I have contacted them several times about this, I actually specifically mentioned a product they produce that has the properties I need, they didn't know anything about it really, it didn't seem like they really cared. I need to get beyond the office ladies and get down to the people who know the products. How do I go about doing that?

Also how should I describe this stuff, should I say it's a reusable PU adhesive? What's the terminology?

Here's what Baymaterials had to say...
The type of polymer you are talking about is generally a very soft polyurethane or polyolefin. (TPU or TPO). In order to be soft enough to be an adhesive it is generally necessary to take the base polymer and "oil extend" it by adding a compatible fluid.

I do know a 3M expert personally but I'd not be thanked for passing on his contact info. Sorry. You may have more luck with a distributor who is used to dealing with smaller customers regarding 3M, Henkel and other adhesives. Perhaps do a search for that?
