Been doing some research on this site and have come across some mixed answers. My main concern is if this vessel needs to be a stamped ASME pressure vessel.
Completely jacketed
Inner pressure 15 psig
Jacket at "full vacuum"
10" NPS inner x 12" NPS jacket
approx. 2' long
I have come across a few ASME interpretations that state the 15 psig limitation on whether the vessel needs to be stamped or not is a differential pressure meaning that with an operating pressure at 15 psig for internal vessel and the "full vacuum" on the jacket would already put us at a 30 psi differential meaning the vessel would have to be stamped. If any one can point me in the right direction to some newer applicable interpretations that would help me out I would appreciate it.
If this doesn't need to be stamped, my next question is what pressure the Safety relief valve needs to be set at on the internal vessel to make sure it is still except from being stamped.
