Hello All,
Is there any low temperature processing technique by which one can fabricate ceramic with high mechanical strength? For example I have alumino-silicate crystals with avg. crytsal size of 300 nm, shaped to green body and the limit of temperature for processing is 900 °C.
I am trying to use amorphous silica with 40 nm particle size and then sintered it to 900 °C but results are not good. Does someone know what is melting point curve of silica/alumina with particle diameter?
Thanks
