Hello everyone! I am designing an LPG Odorant Injection System using mercaptan as the odorant. This is my first time to design such system. I only have the required odorant concentration which is 22.5ppm. How can i determine the required odorant gas flow and injection pressure? Thanks a lot.

ppm is on a mass basis, so 22.5 ppm is just saying for every 1,000,000 total lbs/hr (or kg, etc.) 22.5 must be mercaptan and the remainder of 999977.5 must be LPG. You will need to measure the flow of LPG and meter in the odorant based on a ratio. Injection pressure needs to be higher than the LPG line. I have never worked on this specific application, but I'm thinking a sparger of some kind may be useful in mixing the odorant in to the LPG stream.
