Dear all,

I am 3-year experience hvac field. I work for Main subcontractor in Thailand which have a chance to deal with unfamiliar hvac system called LTHW(Low temperature hot water system) in middle east region.

Owner specification would require 4 pipes system LTHW for heating and cooling as well. I have googled it but a lot of application to be applied for this word. My query is what standard or source of reference to be referred to be prepared and provided our own specification to subcontractor quotation.

It will be grateful for all advices.

you should hire design company to prepare specifications for you.

Drazen, Thank you for your advice. Unfortunately, it has to be prepared by main contractor. Is it possible to advice some source of information that i can go for it. At least to check the proposed specification by design company and clarify with our client.

Not sure what exactly you ask for, but LTHW I think means you use a condensing boiler (or solar, or heatpump) to supply 40-50°C water instead of 80-90°C water.

the reason to do this is that your heating device (boiler, solar, heatpump) will be more efficient. But you need larger heating coils etc.

does this clarify?

HerrKaLeun, thank you for your advice. Now i'm more clear for the right direction.

I thought heat pump is applicable to my project regarding substation building. Does it any link or source for supplementary for this design? I look for ASHRAE applicable but seem not much specific to me to understand enough.

Thank for advice.

CIBSE AM14 provides good guidance on commercial LTHW system design.Typical LTHW flow and return temperatures are 82C/71C.Is this for reheat application as to my knowledge Middle East does not require heating?

sak's advice is precise.

i know that british standards as a "low temperature" count everything that will not boil at atmospheric pressure.

I am from Middle-east, why do you want to use LTHW system in the building.

Sak9, Thank you very much for your advice.

mmotlak1, i do not why this project strongly required for LTHW to deal with heating system when their winter time. i used to deviate but not work. So, what normal heating system for middle-east you are familiar?
