hi guys,

so I have LV transformer from 600V to 400V, both sides have this bushing and I want on the 400V side conect 2 single core cables (1x240) for each phase, the problem is that in all previus project WE didnt do it, is it possiable to do?

did anyone has any experience with something similar?

thank you in advance.

Yes it is often done.
There is hardware available to connect two cables to one lug.
(The term bushing may refer to the insulating part.)
Some transformer lugs will accept two or more cable lugs.
If the transformer lug is a flat lug with holes through it, put one cable lug on each side with a common bolt through both cable lugs.

Not just a good idea;
It's the LAW!

I have the following information for your consideration
1. There are on the market bolted cable lug which provide quick and easy termination of conductors. Palms are machined flat and parallel for maximum conductivity.
2. Info: select the Stud size M20 , conductor 240mm[sup]2[/sup], with the palm 44.5 mm dia. would be suitable for two 240mm[sup]2[/sup] cable lugs.
2.1 Place only one cable lug on each surface of the palm and bolt up with only one bolt.
3. Attention: Use correct size say (M12-M16) and grade 8.8 grade bolt. Tighten to the correct torque.
