Yes , I have experience in machining of Con Rod big end bearings. That was for a Daihatsu Genset. The Engine manual usually tells the limit of the ovality beyond which machining is required. It is advisable to get advise from the Engine manufacturer in this regard and also about the limits for machining and availability of oversize bearings if any.

Nazeer is correct, the engine manual will have the limits for machining and should also give part numbers for the oversized brgs that correspond to new size of big end.If not get in touch with B&W and get an up to date manual for it. B&W are notorious for revising part numbers , altering designs and putting new specification limits on their product parts.
