Working on version 1969. I have just graduated from NX11 and was recreating my favorite macro that I have had to do a few times in the past.
Every time I play it back it errors out at a line with "USER_ENTRY_PROMPT -2 2 1". When I read it back I cannot figure out what I did to get that prompt.
It also occurs later in the macro but the playback never reaches it.
Yes I am weak on journaling and have tried to recreate my macro using the journal tools in NX to no avail.
Any help is always appreciated.

A user entry is a "bus stop" in a macro that allows the user to select either an option in a menu or something on the screen, after the user entry the macro will continue.
If you read the macro file using a notepad and search for "USER_ENTRY_PROMPT" you should be able to find this/these.
when found, scroll backwards ( up) slowly and look for what command was active when you entered this User Entry.
should be readable with a little effort.

It is very simple. Where I work, we really don’t use parameters or sketcher, just hack and wack. We have always had a macro that would initiate the Split Body command, then it would allow us to select and split the body. Then we would hit OK then it would go right into Remove Parameters, we would select the solid and hit OK.
It's lame but convenient.
I have been trying to make it using the Journal in NX but to no avail.

hm, Might you have upgraded your NX version in a giant step?
In earlier versions, Split body removed all parameters, the result was two or more nonparametric bodies.
but since NX-version-xx * it is an associative feature. It will appear in the feature tree and it is associative to the splitting object.
* i do not remember when Split body became a feature, maybe NX12 ?
Is there a good reason to remove the parameters ?

( I see nothing wrong in removing parameters if there is a purpose behind it.)
The "Edit - feature - Remove parameters" is still there also in the latest version.

Yes, I believe back when NX7 came to existence “they” decided that when you split a body the two pieces should remain together until you remove parameters. That’s when I first made my macro. Needed to update it every time an update happened because that’s how macros go. Can't do it now.
The point of the macro is that it made the Remove Parameters command more transparent. Less annoying.
