Good afternoon,
I have been using a software for a FEM simulation, but there is not present the materials which i need in the library of this software. Therefore, I have to add two non linear material in the library, but i need to know the B-H curve (B = magnetic induction, H = magnetic field strength). Where can i find these information for the following materials?
- AISI 430F (ASTM A 838 Alloy 2)
- AISI 420 (ASTM A 176)

MrWHite,
Carpenter Metals publishes detailed magnetic properties data for the alloys they produce. They may include 430 / 420 grades.

your materials are not noted for useful magnetic properties, but used in other applications

what are you trying to accomplish?

430 is widely used for magnetic applications particularly the more controlled composition ASTM A838 varieties. Carpenter can definitely supply precise data. For more generic data try downloading the free software FEMM. It comes with a material library that includes 430.

I have not come across 420 material properties anywhere, you will probably have to pay someone to measure it for you.
