I have a small quastion please. If i would like to apply a radial displacement (U1 = 5) and then i would like to maintain this displacement in step 2 ( step 2 there is a displacement in U3 but i would maintain U1= 5 ) what shall i do

thanks a lot

Nothing. If you don't change the definition in that DOF, then it will stay as it is.

Thanks i also did this :)
i would ask another question if you don't mind. If i have a multiple surface that wil interact with another surface. When doing the selection to choose the master surface shall i select all the surfaces in one time or each time i select one by one ( i will have then many interactions.

Also in my model i have one material (Stainless steel) the other is hyperelastic normlly i must use the stainless as master and the hypêrelastic as slave but when i do this abaqus aborted automatically however when i use the hyperelastic as master the program run is this normal???????

If the surfaces are connected to each other, then it makes sense to use them as one surface.
If you have many contact pairs, you may think about general contact.

Usually the softer material or the finer mesh should be used as slave. But with surface-to-surface this is not so important anymore. And with general contact this question is gone.

yes the surfaces are connected to each other
