Hi!

How can I make a pipe or a cylinder from a line? Have made a framework for a suspension on a car with lines and want to give them radious. There must be a easy way to do this. Or does I have to use the sweep or revolve commands?

I know how to do it in v4 and woundering if it's possible in v5 aswell.

Hi

create a profile (in sketcher) to represent the radius and then use the RIB command with the line as your centre curve and the sketch as the profile.

ok, thanks!

But there's no easier way?

Hi Molgan,
You are right: there is an easy way...I used it to create the frame of the Safari Helicopter (see which is very close to what you need to do.
Equipment and Systems -> Tubing. (you need to go through the Help tutorial in order to get a grisp on the procedure, setings, etc. )
There is also a BIG disadvantage in the method:
-You can't do nothing with the tubing "model"...so, first do a test run and see if this is what you are looking for, before comit to the full frame.
If I can do it you can do it too!! GOOD LUCK!

Mircea
